I bought these in the hope that they would be better quality than the pair we got a couple of years ago, as part of a set which included a wreath (which we never used). The same set is atill available for £40 from Robert Dyas. So spending nearly £70 on just the 2 trees I thought would get me better quality. Not only are these trees identical to the previous ones, they are actually the same manufacturer (Everlands).
The main problem is that the battery boxes are only IP44 and are not really suitable for outdoor use (in the UK). My previous set only lasted 2 years due to water getting into the battery box. They were immediately outside my front door, so not particularly exposed.
It would also be really useful to have a timer function (rather than 8 flashing modes) so that you don't need to scrabble around turning them on and off every day (I invariably forget to turn them off).
Delivery was prompt. Packaging was poor.
