History of crackers-
Crackers are a British tradition dating back to Victorian times when a confectioner started selling sugared almonds each with a moto and wrapped in twisted paper as a love token. One day a jet of resin from the confectioners fire bust into flames with a loud crack. Using the idea he decided to make a log shaped package that would produce a load bang and inside would be a moto and an almond. Today crackers contain gifts, hats and jokes and are must for all celebrations keeping a great British Christmas tradition alive.
